Marine Pro was built from a lifetime on the water.

For our owner, Tim, the ocean isn’t just a workplace — it’s in his blood. Seafaring runs deep in his DNA, shaped by a family history rooted in the marine industry and generations spent working around boats, coastlines and working harbours. From an early age, Tim was drawn to life on the water — learning tides, weather and vessel handling not from textbooks, but through hands-on experience and time at sea. That foundation has carried through into everything Marine Pro stands for today.

Based in the Hauraki Gulf, our work spans commercial diving, marine construction, freight transport and specialist marine services. Over the years we’ve supported everything from island supply runs and marine maintenance through to biosecurity operations and conservation-focused projects across the North Island.

While Marine Pro is owner-led, it’s very much a team effort. Behind the scenes is a strong crew of experienced skippers, divers, deckhands and operators who share the same work ethic — practical, safety-focused and solutions-driven. We’re not a large corporate outfit, but we are a capable one, with the right people, vessels and experience to take on challenging marine work.

We work closely with organizations such as the Department of Conservation and Auckland Council and hold a Pest Free Warrant, allowing access to protected islands throughout the Hauraki Gulf. Biosecurity and environmental responsibility are not box-ticking exercises for us — they are part of operating properly in sensitive and remote environments.

The Hauraki Gulf is more than just our workplace — it’s our home. The tides, anchorages and conditions here are deeply familiar to our team, allowing us to operate efficiently, safely and with confidence, particularly in areas where local knowledge matters most.
